Danse centers around the composition "Danse Macabre" by Camille Saint-Saëns. A Danse Macabre, meaning Dance of Death, was a common painting allegory found in the middle ages. It was used to remind us that no matter what we do in life, we are all dancing to the grave together. Danse explores many of the darker dances throughout classical music while Verdi's Requiem makes appearances throughout.
