Lincoln Park Fanfare
Lincoln Park Fanfare is an original composition by Jim Daughters dedicated to the Mark Eck and the LaRue County High School Band of Hodgenville, Kentucky. The composition takes its name from Lincoln Park located in Hodgenville, Kentucky, the brirthplace of Abraham Lincoln. The piece opens with a bombastic, accented fanfare which carries throughout the majority of the piece. This is juxtaposed by a sweeping, lyrical chorale in the brass. All of this pays homage to the powerful legacy of Lincoln and to Mark Eck whom Dr. Daughters student taught under.
